<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain vertical sound image localization effect over a wide frequency range without performing complicated processing. <P>SOLUTION: In a sound processing apparatus, a sound image localization processing filter 12 provides a sound signal with a characteristic according to a difference between a previously measured first head-related acoustic transfer function (upper HRTF) of a sound generated from a virtual sound image position 20 to an ear of a listener and a previously measured second head-related acoustic transfer function (lower HRTF) of a sound generated from a speaker 13 to the ear, and localizes a sound image upward or downward with the sound generated by the speaker 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
