<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument enabling buttons with LEDs which are not used heretofore to be used for another purpose during a connection to an external device. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic musical instrument executes a linked operation by being connected to the external device and includes a plurality of operation elements which are respectively provided with light emitting means (LEDs) and fulfill a prescribed function when it is used as a signal electronic musical instrument. The operation elements are not assigned any function to control the external device when the electronic musical instrument is connected to the external device. When it is connected to the external device, the electronic musical instrument obtains a level value or a state value of a prescribed signal output from the external device, decides which illumination means of the operation element to light in the plurality of operation elements based on the obtained level value or the state value, and lights the decided illumination means of the operation element. Thus, meter display is executed by the LEDs of the operation elements which are not used heretofore when the electronic musical instrument is connected to the external device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
