<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion liquid simultaneously having a refractive index as high as possible and high conformity to microscope analysis. <P>SOLUTION: The immersion liquid includes at least one organic compound having at least one structural element of general formula I, wherein Xs independently denote S or O and R denotes hydrogen or hydrocarbon.
