PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor advantageous in cost and performance without reducing volumetric efficiency. SOLUTION: This compressor using a refrigerant made of hydrofluoroolefin as a basic component as an operating refrigerant includes: a sealed vessel 1; an electric motor 2 arranged in the sealed vessel 1 and including at least a stator 2a and a rotor 2b; and a compression mechanism 5 including at least a shaft 4 driven by the rotor 2b.
