PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a recorder, to put it concretely for instance, the convenience of the recorder capable of copying or moving program data to a first recording medium from a second recording medium. SOLUTION: The recorder is arranged to be equipped with: a reception means for receiving the first recording medium; a recording means for recording the program data to the first recording medium which is received by the reception means; a time measuring means for measuring the time elapsed from when the program data are recorded on the first recording medium; a detection means for detecting whether the first recording medium remains as-received without being exchanged even when the measured elapsed time becomes a fixed time; and a notification means for notifying to the user that the first recording medium remains as-received when a detection result such as it remains as-received is obtained.
