The shim (20) has a set of sheets (1-5) made of woven material that is impregnated with resin for conferring cohesion between the sheets and rigid maintenance of a front surface (8) in a plane. A latching tab (13) is located on an end of the front surface and extended from the plane of the front surface, where the tab is made of Z6CN1810 or AISI 304 type stainless steel. The tab is fixed on the shim by organic binder including epoxy resin. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for shimming two pieces (2) a method for fabricating a shim. |
