PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive wire, which can suppress increase in alternating current loss and deterioration of critical current density, and to provide a method for manufacturing the superconductive wire. SOLUTION: The superconductive wire 10 includes a superconductor 11, a first pipe 12 and a barrier part 13. The superconductor 11 is composed of Bi2223 phase as main phase and the remainder of unavoidable impurities. The first pipe 12 covers the superconductor.
