CATALYST FOR MANUFACTURING HYDROGEN FOR FUEL CELL, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HYDROGEN FOR FUEL CELL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for manufacturing hydrogen for a fuel cell with a small pressure loss and capable of restraining degradation of catalyst performance due to the pressure loss, and to provide a method of manufacturing hydrogen for the fuel cell using the same.

SOLUTION: The catalyst for manufacturing hydrogen for the fuel cell includes a coil-shaped cylindrical material 11 spirally wound around with a given interval and supports 12 jointed along an axis direction of the coil-shaped cylindrical material 11, with at least either nickel or a platinum group element carried by a carrier 10 mainly composed of magnesia spinel. The method of manufacturing hydrogen for the fuel cell makes hydrocarbon and vapor react with each other under existence of the catalyst.
