摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a recording/reproducing position by irradiation with second light without depending on a track pitch formed in a position control information recording layer by performing recording/reproducing by irradiation with first light. <P>SOLUTION: (1) A recording medium where grooves and lands are alternately formed with equal widths in a radial direction is used. (2) A radial interval between beam spots of second light divided into three is set to 1/3 of a track pitch of the recording medium. (3) The three divided beams are individually received to generate totally six tracking error signals based on tracking error signals and inversion signals thereof for each spot position of each beam, and while applying offset of a saw tooth wave preset for the tracking error signal, for each timing of reaching a predetermined position between servo target positions where main beam spots are adjacent to each other, the servo target position is switched to a position adjacent to the outside of a position targeted thus far. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
