PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater washing apparatus capable of washing the inside of a fine gap momentarily at a low temperature without oxygen and performing sterilization treatment simultaneously as well, at a low equipment cost. SOLUTION: On a diffusion pipe solid frame 2 consisted of a liquefied gas underwater diffusion pipe 1 inside a washing tank 13, a bottom part diffusion pipe 3 and a side face diffusion pipe 4 on which a liquefied gas diffusion nozzle 5 is mounted are mounted. To a liquefied gas transpiration machine 9 connected to a liquefied gas storage tank 8 such as a cylinder or a tank, one end of a liquefied gas supply pipe 7 is fixed in a detachable state. The other end of the liquefied gas supply pipe 7 is connected to the upper end of the side face diffusion pipe 4. Low temperature liquefied gas is diffused from the liquefied gas diffusion nozzle 5 toward the almost center of the washing tank 13, and washing is performed by underwater compound wave motions.
