<p>Disclosed are a method and system for preserving a packet data network gateway (P-GW) identifier in a multiple access scenario, which include that: when a user equipment accesses to a packet data network via two access networks i.e. a first access network and a second network at the same time, and establishes connections to the same packet data network, a home subscriber server (HSS)/authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) server stores a P-GW identifier; the first access network is a 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access network, and the second access network is a non-3GPP access network; or the first access network is a non-3GPP access network, and the second access network is a 3GPP access network; when the access via one access network of the two access networks is released, the HSS/AAA server reserves the P-GW identifier. In the method, the HSS/AAA server can be notified reasonably and is commanded to store or delete the P-GW identifier correctly; thus ensuring the normal operation of the system when the P-GW identifier operation is involved in the multiple access scenario.</p> |
