摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of characteristics of a fuel cell while reducing a used amount of catalyst ink. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a membrane-catalyst assembly 110 having an electrolyte membrane of a predetermined thickness and catalyst layers CL formed on both surfaces of the electrolyte membrane, the catalyst layer CL is formed by coating the catalyst ink on one surface of the first electrolyte membrane HM formed on a carrier film CF and having a smaller thickness than a predetermined thickness.
