<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical connector having a low height in which a tape-shaped optical fiber is mounted without damaging the tape-shaped optical fiber, to provide a method of manufacturing an optical fiber module using the optical connector, and to provide the optical fiber module. <P>SOLUTION: The optical connector which connects the edge of the tape-shaped optical fiber to an arrayed optical element on a substrate includes a connector body composed of: an optical fiber guide member 4 which includes a bottom to which the edge of the tape-shaped optical fiber is exposed and a guide groove 3 which has a circular arc part 3c which is substantially circular arc, houses the tape-shaped optical fiber so that a predetermined face including the circular arc part 3c of the tape-shaped optical fiber is exposed, and guides the tape-shaped optical fiber by bending the end side thereof toward the bottom; and a cover member 5 which covers the face including a predetermined face of the optical fiber guide member 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
