A computer-implemented method and a computer-based system for managing a shared memory region, is disclosed wherein said shared memory region enables at least two or more software programs executed at the same time to access one or more program parameters in said shared memory on the basis of mapping information and wherein said mapping information comprises one or more parameter identifiers associated with one or more memory addresses in said shared memory region. The method may comprise the steps of: providing at least one modification in the mapping information; and, providing at least one shared memory management (SMM) library configured to be statically linked to at least one of said software programs and to be dynamically linked to at least part of said shared memory region in accordance with the modified mapping information. |
