PURPOSE: A nozzle catching device is provided to prevent a non-solidified layer in a slab and additional work caused by the falling of a submerged nozzle into a mold. CONSTITUTION: A nozzle catching device comprises a swing unit(10) and a holder unit(30). The swing unit, at least one side of which moves around a pivot axis(20) in an arc shape, comprises a buffer part to reduce the impact applied to a nozzle(4) when a cutter cuts the nozzle, a connector groove(13), and a push plate(15). The holder unit is formed on a side of the swing unit and contacts a side of the nozzle to catch the nozzle which is dropped by the swing unit.
