PURPOSE: A vibration generating device attached to an electric drill is provided to improve the performance of the electric drill by generating vibration during drilling. CONSTITUTION: A vibration generating device comprises a housing(20), a rotary shaft(30), a bearing(50), a ring-shaped rotating member, a ring-shaped operating member(100), and an elastic member(70). The rotary shaft passes through a hole(22) of the housing. The bearing is located between the rotary shaft and the housing so that the rotary shaft rotates with respect to the rotary shaft. The ring-shaped rotating member has a first protrusion part which is composed of ridges and gullies repetitively formed in the circumferential direction of the rotary shaft. The ring-shaped operating member has a second protrusion part which is composed of ridges and gullies repetitively formed on a side facing a side of the ring-shaped rotating member. One end of the elastic member is supported with a side of the bearing while the other supports the other side of the ring-shaped rotating member so that the elastic member presses the ring-shaped rotating member with the ring-shaped operating member.
