TIME DIVISION MULTIPLE PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK AND ITS COMPENSATION METHOD OF ROUTES DIFFERENCE

PURPOSE: A time division multiple passive optical network and a compensation method thereof for a route difference are provided to compensate for a distance difference in order to eliminate an effect of the TDM(Time Division Multiple) PON(Passive Optical Network) pulse ranging by the distance difference between operation routes. CONSTITUTION: A distance compensating unit(100) creates a route distance difference for a normalization of the distance of a plurality of routes. According to the route distance difference, the distance compensating unit processes distance compensation. A COT(Central Office Terminal)(200) receives an upward signal transmitted from an ONT(Optical Network Terminator). The COT transmits the upward signal to the distance compensating unit. The COT receives the compensated upward signal described above from the distance compensating unit. The COT transmits the upward signal to the OLT(Optical Line Terminal).
