CONTROLLING DEVICE OF ROLLING MILL AND CONTROLLING METHOD USED FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an outlet side plate thickness variation of a rolling mill generated by speed variation of tension reels between inlet side and outlet side thereof.

SOLUTION: The controlling device of the rolling mill is for the rolling mill 1 which includes the tension reel 2 for winding off and winding in a material u to be rolled at the inlet and outlet sides of the rolling mill 1, and carries out control for maintaining tension between the tension reel 2 and the rolling mill 1 to a desired value. The controlling device further includes a tension speed control means 41 for suppressing the variation of tension reel speed, in which it is prioritized to make tension reel speed constant to deflection from a tension setting value in a preliminarily set range and tension deflection is not modified.
