<p>The invention relates to a portable telecommunication apparatus having a built-in digital microscope, a camera, and a video camera. The samples to be analyzed are deposited on a slide which is inserted into the apparatus through a slot provided for this purpose. The portable telecommunication apparatus also includes a geopositioning system, as well as image-recognition software. The portable telecommunication apparatus according to the invention is intended specifically for identifying carriers of diseases such as dengue fever, yellow fever, and malaria at a site in which mosquito larvae are collected or in a laboratory, providing an economical, quick and accurate analysis of the collected samples.</p> |
