[Problem] To provide a wheel bearing device with a rotational speed detector, with which a magnetic encoder is shielded and protected from the outside of a bearing by means of a protection cover, and with which workability and ease of assembly are increased while the rigidity of the protection cover is increased and deformations are limited. [Solution] A wheel bearing device with a rotational speed detector in which a protection cover (15) is attached to an inner end part of an inner wheel (5) to seal a detection unit, wherein the protection cover (15) comprises: a cylindrical fitting part (15a) which is fixed to a small-diameter part (16) of the inner wheel (5) by press fitting; a circular plate part (15b) which extends outward from the cylindrical fitting part (15a) in the radial direction and is folded against itself; and a bottom part (15d) which closes an end part of an inner member (1) by way of a cylinder part (15c) having a diameter smaller than that of the cylindrical fitting part (15a). A tip end part of the circular plate part (15b) faces the inner peripheral surface of a knuckle (K) with a small radial gap therebetween so as to form a labyrinth seal (17), and the circular plate part (15b) is formed having an angle of inclination (?) of 5° to 15° from the inner side toward the tip end.
