PURPOSE: A descending apparatus for escaping fire is provided to have excellent stability and stable breaking operation. CONSTITUTION: A descending apparatus for escaping fire comprises: a cylindrical body(1); a rope ear(2) which is formed at a certain portion of the body and allows a rope to pass therethrough; a breaking device(4) which includes upper and lower blocking rods attached to the side plane of the body; a rope friction unit which is formed at the body and distanced from the rope ear and the upper blocking rod at a certain interval; an upper fixing rod(5) which is installed at the lower portion of the breaking device; and a lower fixing rod(6) which fixes a chain at a place perpendicular to the upper fixing rod.
