<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which achieves prevention of a longitudinal white streak image, maintaining imaging property and securing productivity at the same time, with placing maintaining imaging property as a prerequisite. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a photosensitive drum 1 used as an image carrier for forming an electrostatic image; a developing sleeve 232 which carries a developing agent having a toner and carrier and is used as a developing agent carrier for developing a latent image of the photosensitive drum 1; a regulating blade 25 which is used as a regulating member for regulating a developing agent layer thickness carried on the developing sleeve 232; a vibration member 27 for vibrating the regulating blade 25; and a vibration member control circuit 277 which is used as a controller for controlling driving of the vibration member 27. The vibration member control circuit 277 controls driving of the vibration member 27 so that the execution frequency to vibrate the vibration member 27 should be higher in such a case that the ratio of an image formed on a recording sheet P as a recording material is smaller than in such a case that the ratio of an image formed on the recording sheet P is large. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
