PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an external force from directly acting on a part liable to become relatively brittle when the external force acts on a movable body in a mechanism forcing a movable body to turn without depending on one fixed shaft. SOLUTION: The operating mechanism for a movable body is equipped with: a first fixed-side gear part 32 and second fixed-side gear part 33 which are provided on a support body 1 side, a movable side gear part 30 and pinion gear 31 which are provided on the supported part 21 of the movable body 2; and a guide means 34 which positions the movable side gear part 30 so as to mesh with the first fixed-side gear part 32 and the pinion gear 31 so as to mesh with the second fixed-side gear part 33. The first fixed-side gear part 32 is formed along the arc of an imaginary circle and directs the teeth tops thereof towards the center side of the imaginary circle. The second fixed-side gear part 33 is provided adjacent to the first fixed-side gear part 32 in the center of the imaginary circle and is formed along the arc of another imaginary circle and directs the teeth tops thereof towards the center side of another imaginary circle.
