PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that suppresses wasteful consumption of a memory band, and duplicate access to a main memory. SOLUTION: In an image processor 100, image data are read in a rectangular unit divided in a main scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction from the image data developed on the main memory 102 and processed. When an image processing means performing image processing on reference areas which are rectangular areas surrounding divided rectangular areas and which have duplicate portions each of which includes a boundary between adjacent two rectangular areas performs image processing on the duplicate portions, the read image data are stored in a cache.
