PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which can easily set up a projector body to setting suitable for an installation place. SOLUTION: The projector includes: a GPS receiver 17 acquiring information on a position where the projector 1 is installed; a storage means 24a storing the position information and setting information at the installation position of the projector 1 by making them associated with each other; a determining means determining whether or not the position information is stored in the storage means when performing the setup; and a setup means performing the setup by using the setting information related to the position information when the determining means determines that the position information is stored in the storage means 24a.
