<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve in a small area, a semiconductor memory device which writes only bits of which data changes by writing. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit that performs control of reading data from and writing data into a memory cell includes: a flip-flop circuit that stores the data read from the memory cell array or the data to be written into the memory cell array; and a dynamic type holding circuit connected to the flip-flop circuit through a switch and temporarily holds the data read from the memory cell. When the data read from the memory cell array held in the holding circuit is different from the data written from an outside of the flip-flop circuit when writing into the memory cell, control is performed so that the data in the flip-flop circuit is written into the memory cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
