PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring kit for proteins, in a sample having high sensitivity and an extremely short time required for measurements which do not require expensive devices or apparatuses, merely a simple operation for the measurement, and capable of measuring also a trace amount of protein contained in the sample. SOLUTION: In order to measure a protein in the sample, measurement is performed by a measuring method that includes: (1) an aggregate forming process wherein the sample is brought into contact with a pigment forming an aggregate by being associated with the protein, and thereby the protein contained in the sample is associated with the pigment to form an aggregate thereof; (2) a passing process, wherein after forming the aggregate, a fixed amount of solution containing the aggregate is allowed to pass through a porous carrier comprising an organic compound and having a hole diameter of 3μm or larger; and (3) a color measuring process for measuring a color of the porous carrier surface. The measuring kit for the protein in the sample includes a reagent containing the pigment forming the aggregate by being associated with the protein, and the porous carrier comprising the organic compound and having a hole diameter of 3μm or larger.
