A device for pulsed electro-hydraulic forming contains a discharge chamber pumped through with water with an electrode system and a seal mounted on its pressure surface, a die located beneath with holes in the lower part for air discharge into the atmosphere, and a workpiece located between the discharge chamber and die. It is equipped with a compressor and a pressure reducing pneumatic valve for supply of compressed air from the compressor to one of the holes in the lower part of the die. The pneumatic reducing valve is adjusted for air overpressure in the die cavity under water pressure in the discharge chamber.
