The device has a light guide (2) provided with a light input surface (3) facing a light source i.e. LED, and a light output surface, where the light guide is a cylindrical tube made of polymethylmethacrylate. The light guide is partially covered by a coating (5). The coating has a high reflectivity surface formed at an interface between the coating and the light guide. The coating is obtained by partial metallization of an enveloping surface of the light guide, where the metal applied on the light guide is chromium, silver and/or aluminum.
