<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for removing a coating film at a coil end, which can surely remove the enameled film at the coil end irrespective of a round wire or a flat wire in the shape of the enameled wire and also can accurately and efficiently remove the enameled film while preventing damages to the enameled wire. <P>SOLUTION: A coil body 5a is accommodated in the case 2 with its one side opened, and the coil ends 5b, 5c are exposed to the outside of the case 2. The case 2 accommodating the coil body 5a therein is sealed with a sealing member 7. Granular material is ejected from a direction crossing with the extension direction of one coil end 5c exposed to the outside the case 2.
