<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method whereby indoles that are alkylated at position 2 or 3 can be prepared in a high yield using a wide range of starting materials and without requiring any special apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preparing a compound represented by Formula (3) comprises reacting the indoles represented by Formula (1), a compound represented by Formula (2) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, aliphatic group, aryl group, heteroaryl group, arylalkyl group, alkylaryl group or trialkylsilyl group; R<SP>3</SP>is a monovalent group other than a hydrogen atom; R<SP>4</SP>and R<SP>5</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom or optionally substituted alkyl group, aryl group or heteroaryl group, provided that they may be bound to each other to form a ring; m is integer of 0-4, provided that when m is 2-4, the plurality of R<SP>3</SP>may be identical to or different from each other) and a hydride donor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
