PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wooden member capable of ordinarily securing a merit of wood and capable of exerting burning stop performance and heat shield performance in case of fire. SOLUTION: This wooden member 10 is formed by interposing a heat shield portion 15, in which a noncombustible material 13 and a foamed layer 14 are superposed on each other, between a wood body portion 11 and a surface wood material portion 12 forming a surface 10a of the wooden member 10. The heat shield portion 15 is formed by alternately stacking the noncombustible material 13 and the foamed layer 14 and arranging the noncombustible materials 13 at both thickness-direction T end sides on the front side 11a of the wood body portion 11 and on the backside 12b of the surface wood material portion 12, respectively. Additionally, the wooden member 10 is also equipped with a fixing implement 17 which is continuously provided inside the wood body portion 11 and inside the heat shield portion 15 and which holds the heat shield portion 15 integrally with the wood body portion 11.
