PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain sanitary environment by preventing contamination of peripheral devices in an endoscope system. SOLUTION: A correspondence relationship between input receiving parts 12a-12d of an operating part 12 of an endoscope body and operation instructions of the peripheral devices 20, 30, 40 is previously stored, and according to the stored correspondence relationship, receiving of an operation instruction of the endoscope body and receiving of the operation instruction of the peripheral devices by the input receiving parts 12a-12d are switched, and according to the operation instructions of the peripheral devices 20, 30, 40 received by the input receiving parts 12a-12d, a control signal is output to the peripheral devices 20, 30, 40.
