NEGATIVE TYPE RESIST COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative type resist composition for a color filter excellent in pigment dispersion property and alkali development property.

SOLUTION: The negative type resist composition for a color filter includes a pigment dispersant, a pigment, an alkali soluble resin, a polyfunctional monomer, a photoinitiator and a solvent. The pigment dispersant is a graft copolymer having as copolymer components a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group-containing monomer expressed by a general formula (I) and a copolymer oligomer containing ethylenically unsaturated double bonding, and the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group and organic compounds expressed by a general formula (II) and/or a general formula (III) form salt.
