<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector and a connector assembly, thin and compact, capable of connecting a terminal part of a substrate or the like housed in a case to a terminal electrically connected to a conductor, and insertion-fitting and fixing a tip part of the case. <P>SOLUTION: The connector comprises: a terminal part equipped with connecting parts electrically connected to a substrate, with a plurality of parallel-arrayed terminals arranged vertically in an up-and-down direction so as the connecting parts to face each other; and a connector-housing part equipped with a case-fixing part provided at an outer periphery part of one of the end parts with tip parts of an upper case and a lower case for housing the substrate insertion-coupled with each other and fixed, a substrate-receiving hollow part mounting a part of the substrate, and a terminal-receiving hollow part fitted at the other end part for pinching the substrate-receiving hollow part and with the terminals mounted facing each other. To the substrate mounted on the substrate-receiving hollow part, the connecting parts of the corresponding terminals at the terminal parts mounted on the terminal-receiving hollow parts are electrically connected so as to pinch the substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
