PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet unit which can improve the heating efficiency of an ink droplet while ensuring suitable fixing of the ink droplet which has reached a drawing object, and to provide an ink fixing method using the inkjet unit. SOLUTION: The inkjet unit includes an inkjet head 5 which can discharge an ink droplet toward a recording medium W, a heater 6 which solidifies the ink droplet reaching the recording medium W by heating, and an irradiation heating value control unit 21 which can control the irradiation heating value of the heater 6 to the recording medium W according to the pattern area ratio of a pattern to be drawn on the recording medium W, wherein the irradiation heating value control unit 21 increases the irradiation heating value in response to increase in the pattern area ratio.
