<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet recording paper that has an excellent image reproducibility to be usable as a proof of a printed matter, dull-tone glossiness with premium accents, and excellent ink-absorbency, and is suitable for a photographic inkjet printer with a large amount of ink ejection. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording paper has an ink absorbing layer and one or more colloidal silica layers, mainly composed of colloidal silica and having a coating amount of 1-15 g/m<SP>2</SP>, are successively provided on at least one face of an air-permeable paper support.
