PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed time authentication system capable of high-reliability monitoring to a time authentication station group. SOLUTION: This time authentication station 20<SB>i</SB>selects L time authentication stations from a data storage section 30 for storing an authentication station list AL, including the orders of respective time authentication stations therein, and the authentication station list AL, and transmits a hash value and a stamp issuance request to the time authentication stations. A reliability verifying section 40 verifies the reliability of the time authentication station, based on the received time stamp. A list-updating section 41 updates the authentication station list AL based on the verification result. The time stamp information includes the hash value, time information and group information, and the group information is identification information individually representing reliability of a group to which each time authentication station belongs.
