<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device having a reduced number of input/output systems. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device 1 includes input terminals IN1, IN2, output terminals OUT1, OUT2, a polarity detecting unit 11, a rectifying unit 21, a power supply unit 10, and switching units 111, 112. The polarity detection unit 11 supplies control signals to the switching units 111, 112, based on signals inputted to the input terminals IN1, IN2. The rectifying unit 21 rectifies the signals inputted to the input terminals IN1, IN2. The power supply unit 10 generates a first voltage V<SB>1</SB>and a second voltage V<SB>2</SB>, based on signals rectified by the rectifying unit 21. The switching unit 111 outputs the first voltage V<SB>1</SB>, to either the output terminals OUT1 or OUT2, based on a control signal supplied from the polarity detection unit 11.
