<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MIM type electron emitting element with low power consumption which has high efficiency and is not required to calcine at high temperature, and of which manufacturing method is simple. <P>SOLUTION: The MIM type electron emitting element has nano particles and nano particle aggregates scattered between a substrate to become a first electrode and a second electrode formed nearly in parallel with the electrode, and emits electrons from the second electrode by being impressed with voltage. The nano particles and the nano particles of the nano particle aggregates are constructed of an insulating coated material coated with nano metal particles and an insulating material, and the nano metal particles are formed of particle diameter of an average free path or less of the electrons flowing in the metal used in the nano metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
