PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper for printing which is good in white paper glossiness, white paper face feeling and printing quality, is excellent in printing operability while it is lightweight. SOLUTION: The coated paper for printing provided with a coated layer comprising a pigment and an adhesive on at least one face of original paper is characterized in that the basis weight of the coated paper is ≤50 g/m<SP>2</SP>, in that a flat inorganic pigment with an aspect ratio (long diameter/thickness) in a range of 60-120 is included in a coating pigment, and in that the content is ≥50 pts.wt. to the pigment of 100 pts.wt.
