A mobile station device transmits a random access preamble to a base station device and the base station device transmits in response to the transmitted random access preamble a random access response. The mobile station device does not transmit an acknowledgement (ACK/NAC) to the base station if the transmission timing of the acknowledgement overlaps with the transmission timing of an uplink request.
