<p>The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition comprising:
a lubricating base oil including a lubricating base oil component having a urea adduct value of 4% by mass or less, a kinematic viscosity of 25 mm 2 /s or less at 40 °C and a viscosity index of 120 or greater, wherein the amount of the lubricating base oil component is 10 to 100% by mass based on a total mass of the lubricating base oil, and
a poly(meth)acrylate based viscosity index improver including a structural unit represented by general formula (1):
wherein R 1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group, and R 2 represents a straight or branched hydrocarbon group with 16 or more carbon atoms, and wherein the proportion of the structural unit represented by general formula (1) is 0.5 to 70% by mole,
the lubricating oil composition having a kinematic viscosity of 4 to 12 mm 2 /s at 100 °C and a viscosity index of 140 to 300.</p> |
