PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for coke capable of producing highly strong coke by reducing the coarse pore amount remaining in the coke without depending on caking coal. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for coke includes a step of carbonization of coal while applying vibration thereto in producing coke by carbonization of coal placed in a heating space. The vibration is applied when the coal is in a softened molten state region. The softened molten state region of the coal is in a 350-550°C temperature region.
