<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen a range in which a treatment can be attained by one treatment device in a medical instrument. <P>SOLUTION: A surgical treatment device 1 includes an operating part 2 operated by an operator, an insert part 3 extending from the operating part 2 and a treatment part 4 provided at an end of the insert part 3 to treat a living body. The insert part 3 includes an outer pipe 5 formed by bending a metallic pipe shaped member in a crank form. In the outer pipe 5, a first insert part 10 connected to the operating part 2 is substantially vertically bent in a first bent part 5a to form a first offset part 11 in a direction (outside in a radial direction) orthogonal to the axis of the first insert part 10.
