<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or suppress damage to a printing material container and a printer resulting from a short circuit between terminals. <P>SOLUTION: The printing material container comprises a first device, a second device, and a terminal group. The terminal group includes a first terminal, a second terminal, and a third terminal. The first terminal is connected to the first device and includes a first contact portion coming into contact with a corresponding terminal among printer-side terminals. The second terminal is connected to the second device and includes a second contact portion for contacting a corresponding terminal among the printer-side terminals. The third terminal is for the detection of the short-circuit between the second terminal and the third terminal, and includes a third contact portion coming into contact with a corresponding terminal among the printer-side terminals, The second contact portion, the first contact portion, and the third contact portion are arranged so as to form one or a plurality of arrays.
