<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the DC component of a potential when measuring the potential of a living body. <P>SOLUTION: A switch control part 130 outputs the signals of the square waves of a predetermined frequency to switches 111-1 to 111-10. Then, when the signals are supplied to the switches 111-1 to 111-10, the switches 111-1 to 111-10 are closed in a period during which the signals are at an H level and a line connecting a terminal and an amplification part is grounded. Also, they are opened in a period during which the signals are at an L level and the signals indicating the potential of an electrode are inputted to the amplification part. By the switches 111-1 to 111-10, the potential of electrodes 20-1 to 20-10 is cyclically turned to the potential of GND through terminals 18-1 to 18-10, and ions accumulated between the electrodes and a human body are discharged.
