<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus capable of constantly performing superior resist processing regardless of the type of a recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The recording sheet is conveyed along a conveyance passage 23 in the conveyance direction 83. When the recording sheet is applied with resist processing, the recording sheet is conveyed by a paper feeding roller 25 and nipped by a conveyance roller 60. In this state, the recording sheet is delivered by a prescribed moving distance in the conveyance direction 83. Thereafter, the conveyance roller 60 is reversely turned while the paper feeding roller 25 is stopped. Thereby the recording sheet is deflected in the conveyance passage 23, and by the buckling force, positioning and skew correction is performed. When the rigidity of the recording sheet is high, the paper feeding roller 25 is reversely turned along with the reversal turning of the conveyance roller 60.
