<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly detect a train that enters from a zone having no security system into a wireless train control zone by only adding a ground device. <P>SOLUTION: This wireless train control system includes the ground device. If there are the zone having no security zone and the wireless train control zone, the ground device is arranged within the zone having no security system, and notifies the train of positional information calculating a remaining distance from an installation position to a boundary between the zone having no security system and the wireless train control zone. The train includes a ground device detection device receiving the positional information from the ground device, an on-board radio starting communication with a base station when detecting the wayside coil, and a train control device preparing a brake pattern for stopping in front of a system boundary from the positional information and receiving train control information from the base station.
