PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notifying sound generator for inexpensively and easily recognizing the advancing direction of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This notifying sound generator 2 has an azimuth detecting means 6 for detecting a turning azimuth of a vehicle, a storage means 10 for storing sound information on a sound predetermined with every predetermined azimuth, a sounding means 12 for sounding the sound based on the sound information, and a sounding control means 8 for allowing the sounding means to sound the sound in response to the sound information corresponding to the azimuth detected by the azimuth detecting means.
